If it’s about distribution, the transmission lines should be well-designed to handle the load being supplied.

 

Several generating units of different capacities should be installed to ensure the load curve is handled without issues.

 

The steam power plant should be available whenever it’s needed; this is what will make it effective and reliable.

 

There are a lot of ways to make the steam power plant reliable and available, and this all goes to the design, installation and running it.
