Is Engineering Harder Than Medicine? (Explained)

I had this question “Is engineering harder than medicine?” this was before I started pursuing this Mechanical Engineering plant option. In this article, I will let you know if engineering is harder than medicine, business, and pharmacy.

Let us get started with medicine.

Before I answer this question I would you to know that every career that you will choose to pursue will have its challenges.

What I’m trying to tell you is that there is nothing easy when it comes to these careers. Any career that you choose to do will have its demand.

You can’t just choose any career and sit down and do nothing and expect to prosper in your career without doing any effort.

So, there is nothing hard or easy when it comes to these careers it’s the effort that you put into them that will make a difference.

So, if you want to know if engineering is harder than medicine then this is what I can tell you.

Engineering is harder when you compare it with medicine. The only thing that makes medicine look tougher is the amount of content you will have to learn and master in a semester. You will have to learn so much within a very short time and it’s bulky.

On the other hand, what makes engineering is that all units contain pure mathematics and a combination of physics. Most students have challenges in this section of physics and mathematics and that is what makes it hard for most people.

Though this should not worry you anymore if you want to pursue engineering and you are passionate about it then I recommend you go for it.

Don’t let mathematics and physic scare you at all.

You can manage it.

Is engineering harder than business?

If you are also comparing engineering and business on their hardness then this is what you should know.

Engineering is harder than business simply because engineering consists of complicated units which are mostly pure mathematics and physics. On the other hand, business mostly contains theory except for a few units like financial accounting.

The physics and mathematics that are contained in engineering are what makes it hard.

You will have to derive equations and find solutions to problems in some machine components.

This is something that you will not find in a business career.

So, if you are thinking of taking engineering and yet you know you can’t handle mathematics and physics then I recommend you to go for business.

Anyway, if you are passionate about engineering and you want to pursue it then go for it.

It doesn’t matter how hard it may be but if you are someone who knows what you want then nothing is impossible.

As long as you stay focused and attend every lecture and do your assignment then you will make it.

There is nothing hard when it comes to careers. What you give it, is what you get.

Is pharmacy harder than engineering?

Pharmacy is a medical-related course.

So, if you are comparing pharmacy and engineering then this is what I can tell you.

Engineering is harder than pharmacy engineering from all perspectives except that with the pharmacy you will have bulky information to absorb within a very short period. What makes engineering not have bulky content to learn is the aspect of physics and mathematics.

What I can tell you is that if you want to pursue any course be it engineering, medicine, pharmacy, law and other courses out there then don’t think too much.

Don’t about the hardness of the course at all.

Think of what you want to be in the future, think of what you want to achieve in your life, go for your passion, and do your best and you will be the best.

All those successful people you pin on your board are your role models, right?

If you check out their stories then you will understand that they went for the things they loved and work for them.

And that is what made them be who they are today.

Is pharmacy better than engineering?

When you talk about pharmacy being an engineering or vice versa then this is what you should know.

The aspect of a certain course being better than others is usually not global.

In Kenya, engineering is far much better than pharmacy. This is because if you are an engineer in Kenya it’s quite easier to get a job and work without being bothered by the government with licensing issues. Also, the amount of salary an engineer receives is much better compared to the pharmacist.

I know this might not be the case in the United States or France.

Anyway, the advice I would give you is if you want to pursue any course or career you have to do research first.

Do research based in your country on which course is marketable before you decide on going on a certain course.

These courses are different when we talk about their marketability. It all depends on which country you are in.

Is it worth it to be an engineer?

If you want to be an engineer and you feel that it’s like you have so many choices, this question might pop up in your head.

Anyway, it’s all about choices, and you have to pick something that you have a passion for.

There is a possibility that you might have two fields that you would like to venture into.

In this case, it will be up to you to make up your mind.

If you are asking yourself if it’s worth it to be an engineer then this is what I can share with you.

It is worth it to be an engineer if you have a passion for it. The other thing is that engineering is considered among the best careers in the world. As in if you are an engineer you can work anywhere in the world as long as you have skills.

So, being an engineer it’s worth it.

Don’t think so much about it, just go for it if you have what it takes.

Final Thoughts…

Anyway, if you want to be an engineer don’t start comparing it with other courses. Unless you have multiple choices. You have to understand that every course has its challenges.

Don’t expect everything to be smooth. It’s the principle of life. You have to be ready to face the challenges and work past them. Work smart and be focused on what you want to achieve.

Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do what you want in your life. Don’t let anyone tell you that engineering is so hard and you can’t manage to do it. Motivate yourself and give yourself a thumb up that you can handle it.
